Karl Mathiasen Subsidy Fund
The Karl Mathiasen Capacity Building Fund is a philanthropic fund MAG uses to subsidize its work with groups that have limited means to engage in organization building.
We launched the Fund in 1995 to honor our co-founder’s immeasurable contributions to the advocacy and organizational development fields, to ensure that his influence would continue to be felt long after his retirement, and to continue to provide needed services to worthy organizations who couldn’t otherwise afford assistance.
The fund also finances cutting-edge activist strategies and programs. We prioritize groups at early stages of development, who are working to make immediate impact on hot-button issues, or who are pursuing truly creative strategies for addressing entrenched problems.
